Description of Action

The City is continuing to pursue legal actions regarding expansion of the south runway at Ft. Lauderdale airport.  All available City appropriations have already been expended and added appropriation funding is needed.

Legal counsel estimates that legal actions continuing through trial will cost up to $850,000.  The Administration recommends approval of the attached Resolution providing and establishing a funding appropriation to pay for continued legal costs opposing the south runway airport expansion.
